In the 1855 Directory the post mistress is listed as Anna Jane McCan. The Dublin Mail arrived then at 3.57 a.m. and was despatched at 7.50 p.m.
There is also a post office listed at Upper Ballinderry in the 1855 directory. It is situated 92 miles from Dublin. The Dublin mail arrives at 7.45 a.m. and despatched at 6.40 p.m.
