I have endeavoured to transcribe all the headstones in the graveyard. Due to age and weathering some of the inscriptions are incomplete. The following headstone inscriptions were recorded prior to May 2013.

2	Larmor. In loving memory of Matthew Larmor, who died 12th September 1901, aged 79 years. Also his wife, Mary, who died 23rd June, 1905, aged 78 years. Also their children, Thomas, and Esther, who died in infancy. Alexander, who died 17th August 1911, aged 48 years. Sara, who died 2nd May 1920, aged 64 years. Interred in Belfast City Cemetery. Margaret who died 28th November, 1938 aged 75 years interred in Belfast City Cemetery. John who died 21st February 1925 aged 71 years. Notes: Matthew and his wife Mary are listed as retired grocers in the 1901 census residing at Baltic Avenue, Belfast. A Matthew Larmour, son of Alexander married Mary Mairs on 16 07 1852 at Magheragall Presbyterian Church. Mary was the daughter of John Mairs. Sara Larmor from 32 Alliance Avenue, Belfast is buried in grave J29 Belfast City Cemetery with a Jane Larmor from 36 Alliance Avenue, Belfast aged 84 years died 20 04 1941 and a Margaret Larmor from 36 Alliance Avenue, Belfast aged 75 years died 28 11 1938. Larmor – June 23rd 1905 at 30 Indiana Avenue, Mary, widow of the late Matthew Larmor. Funeral private. Larmor – On the 17th inst., at 114 Limestone Road, Alexander, younger son of the late Matthew Larmor. Funeral private. 3	In beloved memory of Hugh Larmor of Magheragall and Belfast for many years an elder in the Presbyterian Church, who died 2nd April 1877, aged 53 years. And of his infant daughter Jane Anna who died 16th Oct. 18(?6)2. His son Hugh Larmor, M.A. who died 12 Mar. 1882 aged 21 years. His wife Anna Wright who died 2 Feb 1890 aged 60 years. Will that they whom thou hast given me be with me where I am Notes: From Ballycarrickmaddy to the moon by THE DIGGER. The following is an extract from the Belfast Newsletter dated 15 03 1882 and appears with permission of the Belfast Newsletter. Larmor – March 12 at his mother’s residence, 54 Antrim Road, Belfast, Hugh Larmor, M.A., aged 21 years. His remains will be removed for interment in Magheragall Presbyterian Churchyard this (Wednesday) morning at nine o’clock.
4	In memory of Alex……..we..Ja…died 5….son…John Larmor…February 1848…28 years also his daughter Elizabeth Larmor who died 15th Sept 18 ?98? aged 83 years also his daughter Agnes Kernaghan who died 22nd June 1901 aged ?87? years. Notes: Hugh Larmour had a son called Alexander Larmour. He married Jane (nee Weir) c 1810 in Magheragall. Their children were Agnes born 01 09 1813, married Kernaghan, Elizabeth Larmour born 28 07 1815 died 15 09 1898, John Larmour born 18 12 1819 died 16 02 1848, Matthew Larmour born 19 03 1822 died 12 09 1901, Hugh larmour born 01 04 1824 died 02 04 1877, Angela Larmour born c1825 died N/K, Jane Larmour born 20 05 1828 died 10 05 1898 married Dawson, Lydia Larmour born 20 05 1828 died 10 05 1898 married to Moore. Andrew Kernaghan, father Andrew a farmer, was married on 23 02 1849 at Magheragall Presbyterian Church to Nancy (Agnes Mary) Larmour, daughter of Alexander a farmer in the presence of John McKinstry and John Larmour. Andrew Kernaghan senior died in 1865. In the 1901 census at Chapel Hill Lisburn Agnes Kernaghan is listed aged 88 years, married, aunt – residing with Maggie Dawson aged 43 a draper, Agnes Dawson 42, housekeeper and Sarah Murray (nee Dawson) aged 40 a dress and mantle maker. Sarah Dawson, daughter of William, married in 1898 to William John McMurray, son of James. William Dawson resided at Ballymave townland and died in 1901. In his will he mentions his daughters mary, jane and Elizabeth and he mentions his dwelling houses at Chapel Hill, Lisburn. He also mentions his son George, and daughters Jane Begley from Ballycarrickmaddy and Sarah McMurray. Elizabeth Dawson married Robert Bell, son of Robert in 1896. They had a daughter Lily Bell who in 1911 was 12 years and residing with her aunts – Maggie Dawson and Sarah McMurray at Longstone Street, Lisburn. The following is an extract from the Belfast Newsletter dated Friday 16th Sept 1898 and appears with permission of the Belfast Newsletter. Larmour – September 15 at the residence of her sister (Mrs Kernaghan) 19 Chapel Hill, Lisburn, Elizabeth Larmour, aged 83 years. Her remains will be removed for interment in Magheragall Presbyterian Churchyard tomorrow (Saturday) morning at eleven o’clock.
5	In affectionate remembrance of Robert Cardwell of Killultagh who died on the 13th day of October 1883 in his 91st year and of Rebecca his wife who died 7th June 1887 aged 78 years. Frances Cardwell died 15th February 1936 aged 94 years. Notes: this family resided at Derrykillultagh. Frances Cardwell died at Thompson Memorial Home, Lisburn unmarried.
6	Larmour. In loving memory of Mary Pauline died 21st October 1984.

8	McClenaghan. 1918. Erected by the family in loving memory of their father James McClenaghan who died 23rd Dec. 1915 aged 80 years. Their mother Elizabeth McClenaghan who died 21st Aug. 1917 aged 76 years. Their sisters Elizabeth, aged 5 years. Margaret, aged 2 years. Notes: In 1911 Elizabeth McClenaghan, aged 65 years was residing in the townland of Ballycarrickmaddy. She had been married 32 years. 7 children born and 5 living. She at this time resided with her son William G. McNeight McClenaghan. Elizabeth McNeight from Ballycarrickmaddy, daughter of David McNeight married James McClenaghan a mechanic from Belfast, son of John, at Magheragall Presbyterian Church on 22 04 1867.
9	In loving memory of Anne Green who died 19th August 1924 aged 78 years also two children David McNeight aged 2 years, Anne Graham aged 12 years also her son John born 9th Febr (?) 1875 died 6th June 1965
10	Mitchell In loving memory of our dear parents William John died 12th January 1952, Elizabeth McNeight died 3rd May 1988 also her brother Victor Hull McClenaghan died 23rd July 1935. Notes: Newspaper cutting, source unknown – McClenaghan – July 23, 1935 (result of an accident), Victor Hull McClenaghan of Rockdale House, Meeting-House Lane, Upper Ballinderry, the darling and youngest son of James and Eleanor McClenaghan, Brown’s bay, Islandmagee. Funeral from his late residence tomorrow (Thursday) at 2.30pm, for interment in Magheragall Presbyterian Churchyard. Friends will please accept this intimation. Deeply regretted.
11	Erected by Joseph McCall in memory of his beloved wife Charlotte who died 4th August 1869 aged 31 years also his brother John McCall who died 10th February 1866 aged 25 years.
12	Larmour. In loving memory of Edith Matilda who died 24th October 2001 dearly beloved wife of Rev. Robert D. Larmour. In God’s House for Ever More.
13	Mairs. In loving memory of a beloved wife and mother died 18th March 1990 aged 77 years and a beloved husband and father George Johnston Mairs died 15th August 1994 aged 84 years also their dear son David Ian Mairs a devoted husband and father died 22nd February 1996 aged 44 years. Till we meet again.
14	Erected by David Mairs Whinney Hill in loving memory of a beloved wife and mother Emma Mairs died 25th May 1984 in her 85th year The above David Mairs a beloved husband and father passed peacefully away on 22nd September 2001 in his 94th year. Till we meet again.
15	McKnight (Woodbrooke) In loving memory of a dear wife and mother Margaret died 4th December 2007. Notes: Newspaper cutting, source unknown – McKnight – February 5, 1931 at his residence, Woodbrook, Upper Ballinderry, Matthew H., the dearly beloved husband of Anna McKnight. Funeral to Magheragall Presbyterian Churchyard tomorrow (Saturday) at 2.30pm. Deeply regretted. Anna McKnight.

17	Erected by Martha Carson Larmour in memory of her loving husband Matthew David died 21st May 1964, aged 77 years. Her son Frederick James, died 26th August, 1961 aged 44 years. Her grandson Matthew David Larmour, died 22nd July 1963, aged 15 years also the above Martha Carson Larmour, died 1st August 1970 aged 83 years, Matthew David Larmour died 14th Feby. 1976 aged 57 years. John Sloan Larmour, cremated at Edinburgh 25th December 1985 aged 71 years. Edgar Larmour died 10th March 2001, aged 77 years.
18	In loving memory of a dear husband and father George Stevenson McLernon died 12th April 1995 aged 73 years. Till we meet again.
19	In loving memory of Robert John Anderson died 23rd May 1959. Also his beloved son William George died 20th May 2000 aged 63 years a devoted husband and father. Also Louisa died 19th February 2002 beloved wife of the above Robert John devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. The Lord is my Shepherd
20	Waugh. In loving memory of a beloved husband and father James Waugh who died 1st January 1964 also his beloved wife Mary Elizabeth who died 27th December 1972. Notes: Mary Elizabeth Armstrong, born 16 01 1891 married James Waugh, born 22 06 1889 on the 23 06 1932 at Magheragall Presbyterian Church.
21	The burying ground of Davidena Patterson nee Armstrong. Rev. J. Kelso died April 1862. (Flower holder) Precious memories of Davidena Pearl died 31st May 1975 Notes: Davidena Armstrong born 19 07 1892 died 21 07 1993 married James Patterson born 17 10 1893 died 22 02 1975 in August 1930 at Magheragall Presbyterian Church.
22	In memory of Richard Belshaw born 1st August 1838, died 5th July 1909. Susan Belshaw born 19th July 1837 died 13th Nov 1918. Georgina Fenning born 31st Dec 1894 died 7th Dec 1927. I shall be satisfied when I awake with thy likeness. Notes: The Belshaw family lived in the townland of Aughnahough. Georgina Fenning was the grand daughter of Richard and Susan Belshaw.
23	Belshaw. In loving of Wm. Norman McL. Belshaw born 19th May 1912, died 28th July 1951 also his son William Norman a beloved husband, father and grandfather died 22nd November 2000 aged 60. Jane adored wife of William Norman died 21st June 2005 aged 61. Notes: Newspaper cutting, source unknown – Belshaw – July 28, 1951 at Purdysburn Fever Hospital William Norman McLeod, dearly-loved husband of Annie Burgess Belshaw, House private. Funeral from his late residence, Streamville, Lisburn to Magheragall Presbyterian Churchyard on Monday 30th July at 2.30pm.

35	The family burying ground of John Armstrong who died 19th January 1960 also his beloved son Robert David Armstrong who died 26th September 1999. Also Dorothy Armstrong who died 14th March 2004 beloved wife of Robert David. Notes: the following is an extract from the Ulster Star dated 23 01 1960. Obituary. Mr. J.C. Armstrong. Mr. John Chambers Armstrong, "Hillview" Whitemountain, Lisburn who ran one of the biggest quarrying concerns in the Lisburn area died at his home on Monday. He was 74. Mr. Armstrong started the quarry at Whitemountain 55 years ago and his four sons now work in the business. The eldest of a large family, Mr. Armstrong was a member of the Orange and Masonic Orders and a member of Magheragall Presbyterian Church. He is survived by four sons, Messrs Robert David, Richard, John C. and William L. Armstrong, a daughter Mrs James Wadsworth, two brother and eight sisters, one of whom lives in the United states. The funeral took place on Wednesday to Magheragall Presbyterian Churchyard.
36	Erected by Robert Armstrong in memory of his father Hans Armstrong, died 9th January 1941, also his mother Margaret Armstrong, died 10th January 1956, and his brother William Armstrong, died 24th March 1919. Also the above Robert Armstrong, died 24th June 1974 and his wife Isabella Armstrong, died 20th April 1980. At rest. Notes: Newspaper cutting, source unknown – Armstrong – January 9, 1941 at his residence, Ballypitmave, Glenavy, Hans, beloved husband of Margaret Armstrong. Funeral on Saturday at 2pm to Magheragall Presbyterian Churchyard. Friends will please accept this intimation. Deeply regretted by his sorrowing wife and family. American papers please copy. Hans and Margaret Armstrong had children: William born 05 11 1889, Mary Agnes born 06 08 1887,Elizabeth (see grave 43 Glenavy parish Church) born 11 02 1892, Martha born 31 07 1894, Robert born 27 04 1897, Margaret born 09 10 1900 (see grave 110 Glenavy Parish Church). Hans Armstrong, born 20 05 1867, was the son of Hans Armstrong. Hans Armstrong, snr., a widower, son of William Armstrong a farmer, married Eliza Jane Morrow, daughter of Robert Morrow on 12 07 1859 at Magheragall Presbyterian Church. Hans Armstrong snr and Eliza Jane Morrow had the following children: Thomas James Armstrong born 1873 who married Ruth Mairs on 04 01 1895. Hans Armstrong born 20 05 1867 and Agnes Armstrong. Agnes was firstly married to William Thompson from Kilcorig and then David Greenfield. The Greenfields are buried at Magheragall Parish Church. William and Agnes Thompson had the following children: Margery born 19 10 1884. David and Agnes Greenfield had the following children: Sarah Jane born 03 05 1891, George born 24 07 1892, Samuel born 04 02 1894 and Agnes born 05 09 1897 died on 22 02 1915. The Greenfields resided at Kilcorig and their home was also a public house. Hans Armstrong snr., had originally been married to Jane Willis on 09 05 1839 at Derriaghy Parish Church. They had a child called Rebecca Armstrong.
37	Belshaw. In loving memory of a devoted husband and father Norman, died 5th January 1976, also a devoted wife and mother Agnes May, died 7th June 1979. Till we meet again.
38	McCleary. In loving memory of my dear parents Robert, died 27th September 1975. Eileen died 4th September 1990. The Lord is my Shepherd.
39	Erected by George Simpson of Bovolgan in memory of his dear wife Agnes Simpson who died on the 4th day of November 1854, aged 62 years. Also of his daughter Elizabeth Simpson who died on the 9th February 1855 aged 28 years. Also the above George Simpson who died on November 26th 1860 aged 78 years. John Simpson died 21st Oct 1896 AE 79. James Simpson of Moira died 30th November 1970 and his wife Edith died 5th December 1974.

Also Alfred McMillan who departed this life 15th November 1950. Also his wife Elizabeth who departed this life 27th September 1975.
45	The family burying ground of Thomas Mairs, Ballymave, who died 31st March 1923, aged 91 years. His wife Mary Ann Mairs died 26th June 1928 aged 85 years.
46	Mairs. In loving memory of Mary Jane Mairs, died 15th December 1968. Her son David, died 23rd February 1963 interred in Umgall Cemetery. Also her husband William John died 14th March 1974. Mamie, wife of William John (JNR) died 1st July 1994. Violet, loving wife of Richard, died 14th October 2002. Son Richard died 17th May 1993. Georgina (Ginie) died 4th February 2004.
47	Robinson. In loving memory of William C. died 5th October 1970. His wife Alice J. died 5th August 1974. Their grand-son William Samuel died 31st March 1955. Their son Joseph Spence died 5th August 1987.
48	Vogan. In loving memory of William, George and Elizabeth Vogan and their children Richard, Lily and Pearl.
49	Sacred to the memory of Samuel Moore of Moneybroom who died 19th November, 1852, aged 62 also Eliza Ann his wife who died 26th December,1862, aged 68 yrs. His son William, who died 13th March 1907, aged 80 years, and was interred in Dukinfield, England. His great-grand-daughter Agnes Maureen Cupples, who died 21st July 1912, aged 2 years. His son-in-law John Cairns, who died 29th November, 1912 aged 77 years. His daughter, Agnes Cairns, who died 21st October 1920 aged 80 years.
50	In memory of Susan E Brown daughter of Rev. John S. Brown 1st Zenana Missionary to India of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland died 27th March 1843 aged 39 (?) years.
51	In memory of Rev. John S. Brown for 49 years the faithful minister of Magheragall Presbyterian Church who died 12th August 1880 aged 75 years. His beloved wife Ellen Edgar who fell asleep 30th May 1883 aged 74 years. Their daughter Maggie who died 18th June 1876. Their son Rev W.W. Brown, M.A. Missionary to India born 28th Feby 1849 died 11th Oct 1891. Their son Rev. S.E. Brown B.A. for 40 years the faithful minister of the congregations Ballywalter, Athlone and Clough, Co. Antrim born 1832 died 1901. Their daughter Christina Oakman born 1839 died 1908. Their daughter Anna Jane born 1833 died 1922. Their son Isaac Edgar born 1853 died 1921. Their daughter Ellen Wallace born 1843 died 1923. Notes: The Rev. S.E. Brown was installed at Athlone on 18 06 1861 and he resigned on 5 -11-1878 when he accepted a call to Clough. The Brown family resided in the Ballyellough townland in 1911.

53	Erected by Mary Wright, Ballynadolly in memory of her husband William John Wright who died 3rd June 1869 aged 41 years, Their son Samuel Joseph who died 14th March 1882 aged 16 years, their daughter Margaret Crawford who died 18th August 1884 aged 22 years. The above Mary Wright who died 20th March 1909 (?) aged 72 years.
54	In memory of David Larmor, Killultagh born 2nd August 1856 died 18th April 1903 Notes: David Larmor resided in the Derrykillultagh townland.
55	Sacred to the memory of Margaret Graham wife of John Graham of White Mountain who departed this life February 24th 1838 aged 58 years also the aforesaid John Graham who departed this life 9th Jany 1841 aged 64 years.
56	Erected to the memory of Hugh Graham of Ballyholme, Bangor who died 19th December 1890 aged 85 years also Susan wife of Hugh Graham who died 27th June 1903 aged 82 years. Also to his daughter Mary Elizabeth who died 1st November 1858 aged 13 years, also his son William John who died at New York 2nd April 1892 aged 41 years. Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth yea sayeth the spirit that they may rest from their labours and their work do follow them.
57	Erected in loving memory of my husband Joseph McKnight who departed this life 3rd June 1903. Also his son Alexander who died 19th January 1876. Also his daughter Margaret Elizabeth who died 9th June 1875. Matthew McKnight died 5th February 1931 and his wife Anna died 5th October 1995.

59	Erected in loving memory of Henry Mairs who died 5th Augt 1897, aged 32 years also his parents Jane Mairs. Died 3rd July 1899, Robert Mairs died 16th Augt 1906. Notes: Robert Mairs resided in the townland of Ballymave. Henry’s children were: Agnes,Robert and Joseph. Robert also had sons Samuel and David and a daughter Margaret Wemyss.

61	In memory of Wm Watters died 29th March 1918. His wife Isabella died 15th July 1906. Their children George died 4th Nov. 1885. John Higginson died 12th Aug. 1889. Jane Patterson died 5th Oct. 1957. Also Margaret died 22nd October (changed to September) 1967. Their grand-daughters Jessie died 24th October 1985. Rosemary died 12th October 1988.

William Matchett died 15th May 1899 aged 19 years. Jane Anna died 2nd Mar. 1908 aged 26 years interred at Melbourne. His wife Sarah E. Larmour died 18th Dec. 1921 aged 74 years. The above named Matthew Larmour died 27th June 1936 aged 87 years. Notes: Matthew Larmour married Sarah Matchett. Their children includes: William John born 22 10 1878, William Matchett born 07 03 1880, Jane Anna born 22 10 1881, John Sloan Larmour born 09 03 1884, Matthew David Larmour 29 09 1887, Frederick James Larmour born 26 09 1891.
