William Clarke

Extract from the Lisburn Herald Saturday May 4th 1918

The death from wounds received in action is reported of Sergeant Wm. Clarke, Royal Irish Rifles, who passed away on the 12th ult. Deceased who served in the South African Campaign, was a member of the U.V.F. and rejoined the colours at the outbreak of war. He leaves a widow and family who reside at Crumlin.

Sergeant Clarke is believed to have been the son of Thomas and Sarah Clarke, and husband of Catherine.
